Treserica Street Market

Our school had the opportunity to participate in the Treserica Street Market, an event that brings together local producers, artists, and creative individuals. On this occasion, our students presented and sold their eco flower pots, greeting cards, and jewelry made from recycled paper, all created during school workshops.

This participation carried multiple values. The children not only showcased their creative work but also had the chance to connect with the wider community, be part of a public event, and feel proud of their contributions. For our students, the experience was invaluable – through direct interaction with visitors they developed social skills, self-confidence, and a sense of belonging.

The market also highlighted the importance of building connections between the school and the local community and creating opportunities for the inclusion of students with developmental disabilities. In this way, students not only learned about ecology and recycling in practice but also became active participants in society.

Participation in the Treserica Market proved that children’s creativity, effort, and dedication can inspire others, and that shared community events serve as a bridge between schools, families, and the broader community.
