CUDV Dobrna at the International Ekošola Conference – Presentation of the Erasmus+ Project CLENA

On May 31, 2025, two representatives from CUDV Dobrna, Simon Krajnc and Klara Božnik, attended the international Ekošola conference held at Jože Gorjup Primary School in Kostanjevica na Krki. The event brought together teachers, coordinators, and experts from various countries who are committed to strengthening environmental awareness and promoting sustainable development in educational institutions.

At the conference, the Erasmus+ project CLENA: Raising Climate Change and Sustainable Environmental Awareness for Children with Special Education Needs was presented. The project focuses on raising awareness among young people with intellectual disabilities about climate change, environmental protection, and the principles of the circular economy. It brings together institutions from Slovenia, Serbia, and Turkey and is based on creative and hands-on approaches to environmental education. The presentation highlighted examples of good practices and showcased a range of activities implemented during the course of the project in Slovenia.

Participation in the conference provided a valuable opportunity for exchanging experiences, professional networking, and reaffirming that institutions working with individuals with intellectual disabilities can, through programmes such as Erasmus+, make a meaningful contribution to building a more inclusive and sustainable future.
